Indian rescue crews advance at two Nepal hydropower project sites; footage emerges
Specialized tunnel rescue units from India have moved further into the Chilime and Langtang hydropower project areas, assisting the Nepal Army in the search for missing personnel. Even with challenging terrain and poor weather conditions, the rescue team managed to gain entry into a tunnel at the Chilime site and reached a depth of 185 meters underground at Langtang. The death toll from the flash floods has now surpassed 1,000.
