Indian exporters get back over ₹9,500 crore from US tariff refunds
According to a Moneycontrol report, Indian exporters have recovered more than $1 billion, equivalent to about ₹9,500 crore, in refunds related to duties paid during Donald Trump's presidency. The US Supreme Court struck down a majority of these tariffs earlier this year. Per the existing regulations, Indian exporters are unable to file for these refunds themselves and are dependent on US importers to transfer the reclaimed funds to them.
