India ships $140 million in duty-free goods to UK following trade deal launch

On the opening day of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, India sent $140 million worth of products to the UK without any duties, according to Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal on Wednesday. These exports covered items such as electronics, medicines, jewelry, and precious stones. The deal allows roughly 99% of Indian goods to enter the UK market tax-free.
