According to FADA, retail vehicle sales in India climbed by approximately 22% compared to last year, reaching an all-time high of 26 lakh units during June. Sales of passenger vehicles saw a jump of about 29%, totaling 4.1 lakh units. Vehicles running on alternative fuels accounted for 40.35% of the passenger vehicle market, broken down as 24% for CNG, 8.3% for hybrids, and 7.8% for electric vehicles.
