India sees another AI startup reach unicorn valuation
Emergent, a startup focused on vibe-coding, has secured unicorn status, marking the second Indian AI firm to hit this milestone within a single month. The company reached a valuation of $1.5 billion following a $130 million funding round. This follows Sarvam AI, which attained the same valuation in June. Emergent’s Series C financing was spearheaded by Creaegis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed, Claypond, and Sentinel Global.
