India seeks to maintain Chabahar Port operations while waiting for US sanctions clearance
According to an Economic Times report, India is currently discussing the long-term management of Chabahar Port with Iranian authorities while anticipating a sanctions waiver from the United States. New Delhi is working on an arrangement to keep the port under a different management structure, which includes a clause to return full operational control to India as soon as the US removes its sanctions. The previous US waiver for the port project lapsed on April 26.
