India Post starts first drone mail service in Assam, to expand to 150 routes
India Post has commenced its inaugural drone mail delivery service in Assam, transporting letters and packages to far-flung locations. In collaboration with Skye Air Mobility, the state-run postal network intends to roll out 110 routes in Himachal Pradesh and 40 routes in Assam. These unmanned aerial vehicles are capable of carrying payloads of up to 10 kg and have an operational range spanning from 5 km to 80 km.
