India hits record crude oil imports in June amid Middle East instability
According to data from energy intelligence firm Kpler, India brought in 4.93 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil throughout June, marking the highest monthly volume ever recorded despite ongoing regional conflicts in the Middle East. Kpler analyst Sumit Ritolia noted that Russian oil shipments climbed to approximately 2.6 million bpd, further cementing Russia's status as the primary source of crude for India.
