India hits 15 medals at CWG 2026 following historic 1-2 finish by Gavit and Basil
India's total medal count at the 2026 Commonwealth Games climbed to 15 on the sixth day, thanks to a landmark one-two finish by para sprinters Dilip Gavit and Mohammed Basil in the men's 100m T47 event. Gavit secured the gold medal with a new Games record of 10.71 seconds, followed by Basil, who took home the silver with a time of 10.83 seconds. Additionally, Murali Sreeshankar earned a silver medal in the men's long jump on the same day, recording a jump of 8.09 metres.
