India has cut reliance on Russian weapons to 35%, says Sreeram Chaulia

Sreeram Chaulia, Dean of the Jindal School of International Affairs, mentioned on a podcast that India has steadily diversified its defense procurement. He noted that while Russia previously supplied more than 70% of India's military equipment, that figure has dropped to between 30% and 35%. France is currently providing a comparable amount and could soon surpass Russia as a supplier. Meanwhile, India continues to raise its overall defense spending.
