India has issued a response following the announcement by former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that she intends to go back to her country this year. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, "There's no change in our approach to the matter. Any extradition matter is a legal issue, and it will be dealt with accordingly." Hasina has resided in India since August 2024.
