India and Japan ink agreements on AI, semiconductors, and battery tech
On Thursday, India and Japan entered into new agreements to strengthen their partnership in artificial intelligence, energy, and critical metals, while also laying out a joint plan for economic security. The two nations committed to working together on battery production, the electric vehicle supply chain, mining for minerals, and the medical equipment industry. Additionally, the India-Japan Biogas Initiative aims to set up 1,000 facilities across India for biogas and organic fertilizer production.
