IIT-Delhi official allegedly insulted mother of student who died by suicide
The brother of Rishikesh Kumar, an IIT-Delhi student who reportedly died by suicide, has claimed that college officials mistreated his mother. According to him, a staff member told her, "We manage thousands of students, yet you can't even look after one." Rishikesh had previously taken a semester off following his father's passing, and he alleged that his name was struck from the hostel records upon his return.
