ICE agent Castro turns himself in following Minneapolis shooting deception
Federal authorities have taken ICE officer Christian Castro into custody after he was accused of lying about a shooting in January. The incident, which occurred during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, left Venezuelan citizen Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis injured. Footage from the scene refuted the version of events provided by the officers. In addition to the federal charges, Castro is facing state-level counts of assault and filing a false police report in Minnesota. He is currently on unpaid suspension from his position at ICE.
