High Court: Marriage does not bar daughters from compassionate appointments
The Chhattisgarh High Court has ordered a bank to provide compassionate job appointments to two daughters of former employees, noting that being married should not be a reason for disqualification. The court pointed out that the bank’s policy does not differentiate between married sons and daughters. It further remarked that denying the women's applications based only on their marital status is both unfair and discriminatory.
