HDFC Bank MD and CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan to step down
Sashidhar Jagdishan, the CEO of HDFC Bank, has opted against seeking another term and will retire on October 26, according to an official regulatory filing. Jagdishan, who has been with the institution for three decades, stepped into the roles of MD and CEO in October 2020. His departure follows the resignation of former chairman Atanu Chakraborty in March, who stepped down citing that the bank's operational practices did not align with his personal ethical standards.
