Haryana introduces SAMRIDDHI program to lower maternal and newborn mortality
To bring down rates of maternal and neonatal fatalities, Haryana has rolled out the SAMRIDDHI project. This initiative uses digital tracking to oversee the health of expectant mothers from the start of their pregnancy through the postpartum period. The platform is designed to flag high-risk cases, issue prompt notifications, and link patients with medical centers. Oversight and assistance will be provided through a state-level command hub alongside the 102 Maternal and Child Health Call Centre.
