Hanuman Garhi built by a Muslim: Brij Bhushan rejects CM Yogi's 'namaz' remark
Former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh has dismissed UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's assertion that past SP and Congress regimes permitted namaz to be held at Hanuman Garhi Temple in Ayodhya. "Namaz was never offered there...He should know that a Muslim built the Hanuman Garhi. It's mentioned on the stone inscription there," Singh stated. According to historians, the 18th-century Nawab of Awadh, Shuja-ud-Daula, is credited with constructing the current fort-like temple structure.
