Distance runner Gulveer Singh has secured a historic milestone, becoming the first athlete from India to earn a Commonwealth Games medal in the men's 10,000m event. Competing in Glasgow at the 2026 Games, the current Asian champion finished with a time of 27 minutes 49.78 seconds to claim the silver. The gold medal was awarded to Ky Robinson of Australia.
