Gujarat HC grants relief to woman in burqa convicted of acid attack
The Gujarat High Court has provided relief to 41-year-old Mahezbinbanu Chhuvara, who had previously received a 10-year prison sentence for an acid attack. The court pointed out that since the perpetrator was wearing a burqa, her identity could not be confirmed. Chhuvara was accused of throwing acid on 52-year-old bus conductor Rakesh Brahmbhatt after he decided to end their relationship.
