Government sets timeline for mandatory vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology
The Ministry of Road Transport has released a draft schedule for rolling out vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication tech, a system that enables cars to exchange information. Starting October 1, 2027, any vehicle equipped with V2V systems must adhere to AIS-230 standards. Furthermore, from October 1, 2028, all new vehicles will be required to come with V2V communication technology installed at the factory.
