Government receives ₹12,207.25 crore dividend from LIC
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has handed over a final dividend payment of ₹12,207.25 crore to the Indian government for the 2025-26 fiscal year. On Thursday, the cheque was delivered to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman by LIC's CEO and MD, R Doraiswamy. Along with LIC, Union Bank of India contributed a dividend of ₹2,853 crore, while New India Assurance Co Ltd provided ₹211 crore.
