The central government has established a new daily domestic LPG production goal of 63,810 tons, which is almost twice the 35,900 tons produced daily during the 2025-26 fiscal year. In FY26, India’s total daily LPG consumption reached approximately 91,000 tons, with 35,900 tons sourced locally and 58,400 tons brought in through imports. This initiative follows recent supply chain challenges for LPG caused by the ongoing crisis in West Asia.
