Gorakhpur: Man killed with swords at funeral feast after being dragged
In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a 52-year-old individual named Shivkumar Tripathi was reportedly murdered during a funeral gathering. According to police reports, a man identified as Rahul Chaudhary assaulted Tripathi using a cleaver. Following this, Rahul and his brother, Rohit, allegedly dragged the victim for 200 metres while continuously attacking him with swords. Authorities believe the incident was an act of retaliation for the death of Rahul's cousin earlier in 2024. The case remains under active investigation.
