Germany sends first maritime liaison officer to India's IFC-IOR
Germany has officially posted its inaugural International Liaison Officer at the Indian Navy's Information Fusion Centre-Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) located in Gurugram, marking a step forward in maritime cooperation between the two nations. Commander Oliver Vanek has taken on the role as the 12th liaison officer at the hub, a position aimed at improving security, data exchange, and operational synergy. This development comes shortly after Indonesia also opted to place a liaison officer at the same maritime center.
