Geologists caution that China's massive dam near Indian border faces landslide risks
According to the South China Morning Post, Chinese geologists have cautioned that the world's biggest hydropower initiative, currently under construction by China on the Brahmaputra River, is situated on an active fault line susceptible to earthquakes and landslides. This $167-billion project is located in close proximity to the Indian border and has already triggered significant apprehension within India. Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, has previously characterized the development as a possible "water bomb."
