Future US aircraft carrier could be named for Trump over WWII veteran
According to a CNN report, the US Navy is considering naming its fourth Ford-class aircraft carrier after Donald Trump, potentially replacing the previous choice of World War II hero Doris "Dorie" Miller. Miller, a Black sailor, was recognized for his bravery during the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, where he assisted injured crew members and operated an anti-aircraft weapon. The vessel had been designated as the USS Doris Miller in 2020 during Trump's initial term.
