FSSAI orders Dabur to remove '100%' labels from food items
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has instructed Dabur India to halt the sale of food products that feature '100%' claims, stating that these labels are deceptive and breach regulatory standards. This directive applies to items like honey, cow ghee, and coconut water that are advertised as '100% Natural,' '100% Pure,' or '100% Purity Guaranteed.' According to the FSSAI, these types of claims are vague, cannot be verified, and have the potential to deceive customers.
