FSSAI finds Wai Wai maker using floor waste to produce bhujia
An FSSAI inspection at the Ajmer facility of CG Foods India, the manufacturer of Wai Wai noodles, revealed that the company was recycling waste noodles gathered from the floor to create bhujia snacks without any heat treatment. The food safety authority has ordered CG Foods to halt the production of its Veg Bhujia namkeen line, citing the unauthorized manufacturing of 'Wai-Wai MaMa' and 'Wai-Wai Mama Punte' bhujia products. Authorities have confiscated 32,107.2 kg of the company's inventory.
