France uses A400M military plane to combat forest fires
To assist in battling wildfires that have scorched more than 242,000 acres and forced over 330,000 residents to flee, France has put its large A400M military transport aircraft into service. The French military equipped the plane with a specialized kit that allows it to drop 20 metric tonnes of water at once. On Monday, President Emmanuel Macron convened a meeting to address the ongoing fire crisis.
