Former India U-19 star and LPL team co-owner Manjot Kalra held for match-fixing bid

Manjot Kalra, a former India Under-19 cricketer and co-owner of the Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), has been taken into custody in Sri Lanka. He is accused of trying to offer a bribe to an LPL participant. Following his appearance before a magistrate, Kalra has been ordered to remain in custody until July 31. Authorities also apprehended his associate, Yuvraj Pushpa, who is an Indian citizen. Notably, Kalra was the player who hit a match-winning century during the 2018 Under-19 World Cup final against Australia.
