Former bank official held for ₹81.80 lakh gold theft from Mumbai locker
The Kandivali Police in Mumbai have taken a 35-year-old former deputy bank manager into custody for the alleged theft of 610 grams of gold ornaments, valued at ₹81.80 lakh, from a locker belonging to an NRI senior citizen. The incident was brought to light on August 12 by the victim, 74-year-old Pradeep Motiram Bhatia, who is a retired resident of Dubai. Authorities stated that they managed to crack the case in four days and have successfully retrieved all of the missing gold.
