Floods wash away bank vaults containing cash and gold in Nepal
Nepal Police are currently facing difficulties in tracking down vaults belonging to approximately 20 banks that were carried off by severe flooding. These vaults, which originated from financial institutions in Chitwan, Dhading, and Rasuwa, held significant quantities of gold, cash, and other precious items. In a related development, authorities have taken 29 individuals into custody for the suspected theft of NPR 92 lakh from a bank safe that had been displaced by the rising waters.
