First old clothes donation hub opened at Delhi Metro station
On Monday, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta launched the inaugural 'Arpan Kendra', a facility for donating old clothes, at the Punjabi Bagh West Metro station. Through this program, the collected garments will be reused, recycled, or upcycled. This aims to minimize textile waste, encourage a circular economy, and generate employment opportunities for women. A total of ten Arpan Kendras are planned to be established across key Delhi Metro stations.
