A fire at a firecracker manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad’s Mahmudpura neighborhood on Friday resulted in the deaths of at least eight individuals, with five others sustaining injuries. The wounded have been taken to a medical facility, while emergency crews remain on the scene for rescue efforts. According to police, the owner, Mehul Dodiya, had his operating license revoked, yet the factory was reportedly continuing to produce firecrackers illegally.
