Finland backs Italy's push to remove Spain from Schengen over migration issues
Finnish Minister Mari Rantanen has backed Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s proposal to pause Schengen travel privileges for Spain following a surge of migrants crossing from Morocco into Ceuta. Rantanen stated that Spain has failed to secure the Schengen zone's outer borders against unauthorized entry. She further noted that nations failing to meet their border protection duties should not remain part of the Schengen agreement.
