FDA officials claim K Rustom owners called rats 'pets' during inspection
During a 14-hour inspection of the K Rustom ice-cream shop in Mumbai, Maharashtra FDA officials reported seeing 15 to 20 rats scurrying around their feet. According to the officials, the owners suggested they treat the rodents like pets. The team also alleged that two cats were urinating freely throughout the premises and that staff clothing was being dried inside the production area. Consequently, the food license for K Rustom has been suspended.
