Farmers' leader claims UP police beat him up and forced him to dance, displays swollen eye
Digvijay Bhati, a leader of a farmers' group, has accused the Meerut police of severely beating him and forcing him to dance to music. Displaying a severely swollen eye, Bhati claimed that he was repeatedly struck in the eye. According to the Meerut Police, DIG Saharanpur Abhishek Singh has been tasked with conducting an inquiry into the incident. The farmers' leader also accused Meerut SSP Avinash Pandey of being involved in the assault.
