Famous Jaipur sweet shops launch indefinite boycott against Zomato over unfair practices
A number of well-known sweet outlets in Jaipur have initiated an indefinite boycott of Zomato, alleging "unethical practices" and a "lack of transparency" by the food delivery platform. The 'Shri Halwai Samiti'—an association that comprises prominent names like Laxmi Misthan Bhandar, Rawat Misthan Bhandar, and Bombay Misthan Bhandar, among others—has labeled Zomato's business methods as "financially unviable". Additionally, the group has accused Zomato of raising its commission rates significantly, pushing them up from 10-12% to as high as 25%.
