Fake jewellery swapped for ₹39 lakh gold in Gujarat bank locker theft
Gold ornaments weighing 342.1 grams, valued at about ₹39.48 lakh, were reported stolen from a bank locker in Jamnagar, Gujarat. According to police, a bank staffer allegedly used keys from the branch manager's office to open the safe, took the genuine gold, and left behind imitation jewellery. The theft occurred on August 27.
