Expired, mislabeled food worth ₹1.38 crore seized from Amazon and Instamart in Bengaluru
Food safety authorities in Karnataka have confiscated expired and incorrectly labeled food items valued at ₹1.38 crore. The operation included inspections at Amazon warehouses located in Devanahalli and Anekal, along with a Swiggy Instamart site in Hoskote and various other locations. Additionally, officials recovered medicines worth ₹4.02 lakh that were being kept without the required permits. The Swiggy Instamart warehouse was shut down following the discovery of unsanitary practices and breaches of food safety regulations.
