Existing food delivery apps failed to build brands, says Rapido CEO
Rapido CEO Aravind Sanka has expressed dissatisfaction with the present food delivery sector. He stated, "The current food delivery players have never created a brand...barring one or two small ones which has resulted in the market plateauing." Sanka further noted that a dish priced between ₹80 and ₹120 at a restaurant frequently jumps to ₹250-300 once commissions are added, describing this significant price gap as the primary barrier for customers.
