When a Pakistani journalist recently questioned former Singapore ambassador-at-large Bilahari Kausikan about where Pakistan would stand in five years, Kausikan gave a direct reply. He stated, "I will be very blunt. Pakistan took advantage of a diplomatic opportunity in the US-Iran war. But that will not feed your people." He further remarked, "Pakistan has been on the brink of failure for a long time."
