Ex-Australia star Moises Henriques to lead Portugal cricket team
Moises Henriques, the former Australian all-rounder, has been appointed as the captain of the Portugal squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier C, which will take place in Finland. The 39-year-old hails from Funchal, Madeira, which is also the birthplace of Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo. Henriques, who represented Australia in four Test matches, 16 ODIs, and 24 T20Is, will now spearhead Portugal's efforts to qualify for their inaugural T20 World Cup appearance.
