EV founders urge Minister Kumaraswamy to extend PM E-DRIVE scheme
Union Heavy Industries Minister HD Kumaraswamy held discussions with electric vehicle startup founders in Bengaluru. The industry leaders are pushing for an extension of the PM E-DRIVE incentive program and changes to the PLI Auto scheme. Currently, the policy requires manufacturers to hold a global group automotive revenue of at least ₹10,000 crore and fixed assets worth ₹3,000 crore, criteria that largely leave out smaller, EV-centric startups.
