Electronics now rank as India's third-biggest export sector

India has seen a massive jump in electronics exports, rising over 11 times from ₹38,000 crore in 2014-15 to ₹4.24 lakh crore by 2025-26, which has pushed the sector to become the nation's third-largest export category. The local electronics manufacturing industry currently provides employment to approximately 25 lakh people, with women making up about 30% of that workforce. Additionally, the digital economy in India is responsible for roughly 12-14% of the nation's total GDP.
