Election Commission to provide ₹6,000 one-time payment to BLOs for SIR duties
The Election Commission (EC) has declared a one-time payment of ₹6,000 for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors who are participating in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The EC stated that this honorarium is being provided in light of the significant amount and type of tasks required for the SIR process. Previously, in May, the commission had scheduled the third phase of the SIR across 16 states and three Union Territories.
