Election Commission pushes back SIR dates for four states
The Election Commission has granted an extension of up to 12 days for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) currently underway in Delhi, Karnataka, Punjab, and Telangana. House-to-house visits by BLOs are now set to run until August 8 in Delhi and Karnataka, while the deadline for Punjab and Telangana has been moved to August 3. Consequently, the final electoral rolls for these regions will be released on October 19 and October 12, respectively.
