El Niño forces seabirds from Peru and Chile to migrate to Panama

Panamanian researchers have observed seabirds typically found in Peru and Chile arriving in the Panama Bay area as a result of the ongoing El Niño event in the Pacific. Experts explained that the birds were compelled to relocate to find food because rising ocean temperatures have pushed fish populations away from their usual habitats. Scientists anticipate that the El Niño conditions in the tropical Pacific will reach their highest intensity between November and December.
