Egyptian court hands death penalty to TV host Sarah Khalifa in drug trafficking case
A court in Cairo has handed down a death sentence to television host Sarah Khalifa following her conviction for producing and distributing synthetic narcotics. Along with her, 11 other individuals were also condemned to death in the same legal proceeding. Officials reported that they confiscated over 750 kg of drugs and production ingredients. Throughout the trial, Khalifa maintained her innocence.
